Flotation therapy is also known as sensory deprivation or restricted environmental stimulation therapy or R.E.S.T. for short. R.E.S.T. is a better definition of what flotation therapy is, flotation therapy is the ultimate R.E.S.T. Your senses are not deprived, they are simply able to relax.

Flotation therapy or R.E.S.T. puts you in an environment unlike one you have ever experienced, and environment that defies gravity, embraces you in soothing comfort, and quiets the constant noise and distractions that rule our lives. Eliminating all these distractions opens you up to experience many things.
